I messed up my knee by sleeping on it wrong (I cosleep with my DD part of the night, so I'm stuck on one side of my body and somehow that threw my knee off). It hurt for a couple of weeks, but it stopped hurting after I made more of an effort to sleep more comfortably (pillow under that knee, sleeping on the other side when DD wasn't in bed).
However, my knee now CLICKS (really loudly) when I climb stairs. It doesn't hurt anymore, but I can't imagine the loud clicking is a good sign. What the hell do I do to myself, and who do I see to fix it? My dr would just prescribe muscle relaxants (his answer to everything) which wouldn't work since 1. I'm BFing and 2. my muscles don't hurt anymore! Help!? |
Someone just asked this question a week or so ago. I said (as if I'm a doctor, right?) that if it doesn't hurt, it's not serious. The kneecap is tracking wrong, and exercise/strength training can help. Other posters had specific types of exercises that help.

Awesome, THANK YOU, PP. That was extremely helpful and I'm sure what is going on. I'm going to do some stretching and exercises to try to resolve the imbalance. |
