They won’t. The far left hates women as much as the far right.

Is that why the women at the protests are fully covered with head scarves, sunglasses, huge face masks? It looks like the women have accepted a subservient role in the Democrat party.

These are not democrats. At best, they are progressives. Either way, they are as productive to the democrats as the extremeist MAGAs and evangelicals are to the republicans.

These are nearly exclusively Democrats. They may not consider themselves Democrats today-on May 2nd 2024, but these people all
1A- voted and supported Biden through at least 10/7/2023
1B- hate Trump or are anti-Trump
At best, you can call them "Ex-Democrats" today, but if you went around asking them who they voted for/or supported in 2020, Biden will be the answer an overwhelming % of the time.

+1

And every time they remove the American flag and run up a Palestinian flag, Trump gets 100,000 more votes.

Ah, such a historical stereotype that progressive Democrats now champion. Did you claim Ukrainians ran the US government when we sided with them vs Russian invasion? Wonder why.

You cannot compare Ukraine to Israel, did we pass a law which banned criticism of Ukraine and classified it as hate speech? I don’t think so. Stop with this stupid comparison when you already know the truth, don’t insult your own intelligence as well as mine.

Indeed! If you look closely, we prefer to give the Israelis our 155mm shells instead of the Ukrainians. And the Russians were already out producing the entire pro-Ukraine block. Israel gets *ridiculously* better treatment than other allies AND it takes U.S. support for granted.

Actually, the power lies with rule of law.

We will see how this plays out if any of these protesters who broke the law are actually prosecuted. And, if the protesters who damaged property and painted graffiti will be expected to compensate the universities and help clean it up.

I expect the vast majority of those arrested to be treated with kid gloves and not prosecuted and not held to account. I expect very few to be expelled and I will be shocked if any of the professors will suffer any consequences. So, the law breaking will continue.
I hope I am wrong.

Sure, if they did all that then they should be prosecuted along with the pro Israeli mob that created mayhem at UCLA campus. I am all for law as long as it’s fairly and equally applied.

You're insisting on propagating a false equivalency. The pro-Israel mob that committed serious, indefensible acts of violence on protesters earlier this week on the UCLA campus are not the same as the protesters that they viciously attacked and to whom they attempted to inflict serious harm. Gathering around and taking turns stomping on the heads of otherwise defenseless protesters, that's mayhem-level crime. Those are crimes that warrant prison sentences. The protesting a-holes that damaged property on the campuses? Community service and probation, at worst, for the most part.

There is no equivalency between these two groups. Both with unlikable qualities in certain areas, but the former committed serious crimes and the latter committed infractions and minor crimes of inconvenience, almost across the board.

$90,000 a year for GW. Just down the street from the White House.

My son’s friend’s mom is an administrator at GW in Financial Services (?) department. Not a professor.

She says many in the admin support staff are “scared” of the students. She wants to resign, but cannot do it yet.

Unpopular opinion #2: peaceful, out of the way protests aren’t memorable, don’t attract attention, and don’t drive change.

Hate to say it, but provoking a heavy handed, violent police response - which is incredibly easy to do given fact 1 above, is about the most effective thing these protestors could do. Think about the images you remember from the Civil Rights movement. Think about Stonewall. Think about Vietnam. Now think about a 60-year old history professor getting beat down over a foreign nation’s war.

Not unpopular with me. The Vietnam protests helped end the war. They made mistakes like blaming the young people who sent to war because they were drafted. But they were on the right side of the issue.

Civil rights movement also changed our country for the better. The hate the protesters endured and the political and cop abuse must have been tough to take but they did not give up.

Hopefully this will play out the same way. History won’t look kindly on videos of babies and young children being crushed to death or limbs blown off in response to a horrific terrorist attack. And using American tax payer dollars to bomb innocent people will be an ugly part of American history.

We already had a phony WMD scam in order to kill Muslims. And anyone who opposed this was accused of not supporting the troops which at the time was a marketing tool to silence dissenters. Now we have antisemitism to try and shut down the protesting of killing 35,000 innocent people in order to try and eliminate a terrorist group ruling a territory.

Both sides protesting at the University of Alabama are chanting against Joe Biden!

Americans are scared of their own shadows. Always looking for a “safe place”.

I am truly trying not to panic that these protests are going to turn the election. But I really, really worry.
