| Is he a pirate? The earring looks like a lady's earring. It looks heavy and wobbly and distracting. WHY, WHY, WHY?! I HATE IT! It is so: annoyingly confrontational. "Do you think I'm bi? Do think I'm a pirate? Do you think I'm young and hep?" NO! I don't want to be distracted by these thoughts while watching the news. I know, I should've posted in the over 50 forum--but I'm not over 50. I'm young and enjoy his newscast, more or less, otherwise--even the muccusy, gravelly intones of Doreen Gentzler are soothing as I fall asleep... |

| Ha! This subject line made me laugh out loud. I've wondered the same thing. I'm totally cool with men having earrings, but an earring on a male newscaster is pretty distracting. |

| It's because Jim Vance is a bad-ass. Have you noticed that he rarely even reads the teleprompter anymore during "lite" stories? He just adds his own commentary and tries to make the other anchors laugh or squirm. There are so many youtube videos of him just not giving a f***: one time he couldn't stop laughing during the video of a model falling on the runway. He's a trip. |

This is hilarious. I've been asking the same question about Vance, his earring, and his flubs (I'm not originally from this area) and my husband is forever defending him. While we are talking about NBC News 4 distractions -- does Darcy Spencer have a glass eye or what is up with it? I tried googling once because I was so curious, but couldn't find anything. Does anyone know?? |
