| Any recommendations for a tailor in the DC area who can stitch a sari blouse? |
| Are you willing to travel to NOVA? Usually any Indian boutique has a seamstresss that works for them. |
| Ooh, if you find one, please post again! I'm always in need of having a blouse stitched in between trips to India. |
You need a seamstress not a tailor. |

18:52 here and I had it stitched twice in NOVA and would NEVER do it again. I save it all for when we travel.
It costed me $60 each one For this price I bought several saris and had the blouses stitched when we went to visit family.

Honestly, I have not found anyone in the area who consistently does a good job. And neither has anyone I have asked. I always take my sarees up to NY, as do my friends and family. There used to be a lady in MD who was awesome, but she has closed up shop. When in a jam, I take clothing to Ruby's Collection near Tyson's Corner and use her tailor.
If you get a helpful recommendation, I will be glad to hear it! |

| OP again. To the poster to said she takes her sarees to NY. Please recommend where you take them. I think that sounds like you get your blouses made in NYC and they work out? Thanks in advance. |
| LOL NYC and NY are not the same thing. |

I swear by Rubina Kurshid in Falls Church. She works out of her home, and she is a lovely woman with reasonable prices. I've hard a sari choli made from scratch, as well as a lengha choli, and numerous things altered.
