This is a terrible assumption. Lee has made it very clear how they feel about ITS (with more than one poster claiming about ITS when it should be directed towards their OWN administration). The entitled attitude of the Lee parents posting here is definitely a turn-off.

"Lee" has not "made it very clear". In fact several posters who have identified themselves as from Lee have said again and again that there is no animosity, that they look forward to working together and thanks for the playground. Just STOP prolonging this and creating conflict where there is none. PLEASE!

Yes, we can try to focus on the last few pages of Lee posts instead of the first 11 pages.

I'm sorry you've had so negative (or just so few) interactions with ITS parents. We're a upper grade family and have found the families to be very welcoming, inclusive and definitely not entitled. If anything they are the opposite as they've had so many challenges with a new charter and most have adopted a "roll with it" attitude. I was very shocked by how some things would have angered many parents in other schools, ITS parents usually respond with "that's just the way it is."

Another upper class family here. I can't believe I've taken an hour to read this post. I have to echo this. The families are truly amazing. They welcomed our family with open arms and I meet a new family at every event where people go out of their way to get to know me and DS. I have many friends outside of ITS and many comment on their postive interaction with IT families. That said, I have had nothing but great interactions with Lee families. In fact, we have a friend at IT that also has a kid at Lee and hear nothing but excitement. I have met Lee's head of school and am thoroughly impressed!! I am truly hoping we can kill this thread and leave this in the past.

You just can't stop yourself can you? Perhaps you should go look at those posts again and see who was and wasn't writing them.

I am not the same person you've been calling out. I just want the negativity to stop.

The premise of the Lee thread is what was so negative and it snowballed from there. An IT poster made a reactionary comment - not good. The thread itself (but more importantly the way of thinking) needs to stop. Not healthy for anyone involved.

the "Premise" was this:

"Is IT closing early on Thursday too or is it only Lee closing at 11:45? Wondering if it's a structural need or something else... "

Not exactly negative.

I don't feel gratitude to IT for renting their building and future playground to us, and I do expect to be able to send my child to school in the building we pay rent for. If we can't us the building we pay rent for one day, I expect the reason to be a good one (construction, malfunction etc).

Good point. Will Lee be getting a refund for the hours not used today?

Nope. Nor will it be charged extra for its full week of school prior to ITS opening.

Who cares if IT was open or not? I'm sure Lee's lease reflected their start date and that IT billed them accordingly.

Um, ITS opened a week later than it's normal start time this year, which means parents had to scramble to try to find essentially nonexistent summer camps or care for that week.

I'm sure parents who are upset to have to find care for one afternoon understand the inconvenience of having to try to find care for an entire week, which they did not have to navigate while ITS parents did. And did without complaint or accusing Lee of some conspiracy to keep IT parents out of the building.

I started this thread and if I had any authority I would have shut it down about 5 pages ago. This is ridiculous at this point. I was curious, with suspicions that there was more happening than being told (I thought there was a VIP coming based on seeing SS a few random places near the school on Friday/Monday). I never expected it to devolve to this and I kindly ask that this be the last word. If anyone wants to continue to fight please take it appropriately to the playground (it's new and ready for blood).
