This is not about Jews.

This is about Zionists. This is about Israel’s
Longstanding history of outsized responses. This is about Israel dehumanizing and underestimating Palestinians. This is about Israel’s inability to live peacefully with its neighbors. This is about families displaced from their homes/forced to bury their children. This is about the 1000s of amputees with limbs blown off by IDF. This is about mothers not being able to feed their kids. This is about the US sending billions to Israel to provide weapons plus at the same time $$ to Gaza to compensate for the harm its bombs have caused. This is about US taking a ridiculous stance that it’s ok for the ceasefire to be temporary. This is about the hypocrisy that Israel has a right to exist per the UN but it’s ok for Israel to ignore all other UN orders.

I believe you think it’s all about antisemitism. But it’s not.

So after 10/7, Israel should have... turned the other cheek? Presented more people to Hamas to be kidnapped or killed?

1) created a greater buffer zone
2) stepped up border control
3) told citizens not to hang out near the border
4) recognized you cannot expect people to live under a land/air/sea blockade without rebellions rising up and that you need to figure out a way to live with these neighbors
5) engage in talks
6) 1967 borders and 2 state solution.

Trump and republicans are bigger supporters of Israel than Biden. These uneducated kids are going to end up sticking us with Trump because they get their understanding of history from TikTok.

If only they’d put some of this energy towards the fentanyl crisis. Doesn’t the number of Americans dying on the streets of major cities tug at their heart strings? They’re not disgusted? I drove around LA recently and sorry but Gaza was like the last thing on my mind.

Same thing when I’ve driven through impoverished Indian reservations. Though, wait… maybe Gaza does come to mind a little there, so…. Um, college protestors… any interest in heading to Pine Ridge to volunteer your services… crickets?

This. And it's true of the far left in general. I'm a Dem but the far left creates more Republicans than the Republican party does. When undecideds have to choose in Nov, will they pick the party that wants to take away women's right to abortion or the party that pretends it doesn't know what woman is? It's insane that we are doing this to ourselves.

Products of our fine public education system.

I can smell lots of old farts on this thread. Our gerontocracy is a disaster and it’s in denial. So glad these kids are standing up for justice against the bs America’s political class has been arming+funding in Palestine. And the political class’s crap isn’t just ugly in human rights terms, it’s destructive to America’s strategic interests. But boy is it a grift for insiders, including many Democrats like Joe Biden.

It’s over, oldsters! You have become fascists to cover up the hustle, backing down now is how you reliably preserve some of your world, otherwise all sorts of crazy things can happen.

Talk about how Joe Biden is helping Trumpers and hurting his base by helping Israel’s genocide of Palestinians in Gaza or STFU about the kids.

Parents - choose where you want to spend your money wisely.
Find a university that believes in education and not indoctrination.

We have chosen wisely and they are being educated by experience, not propaganda, as we speak. Also, the “children” are ADULT citizens.

You should be so proud of how their experience is teaching them to build wooden walls and secure masks and zip ties in order to shield them from the police who are attempting to dismantle their illegal encampments.
And, they should know better, being adults and all.
How many of these "adult citizens" are actually foreign students here on student visas? I have heard that about half of the students at Columbia are international students. Wonder what the percentage is for UCLA.

Their experience is teaching them leadership, integrity, perseverance in the face of a vulgar and fascist power class.

That is because they want The Rapture, which at the end of the day, is not really pro-Israel or Jews.

LOL. No.... their experience is teaching them to believe propaganda, follow the mob, and resist arrest.
Great values there, Skippy.

Stick it The Man when he tells you that you can't have an illegal tent city or occupy a school building!

The only place I ever hear about "The Rapture" is on this board.
Why are you so obsessed, pp?

LOL. And, you think you are on the right side of history, siding with terrorists.
I think the "oldsters" have some wisdom that you might learn from.

This is just an extracurricular activity for these college students because it's end of term. They'll disperse for summer break and employment in a few weeks.

That makes sense. Go to another country for college, start protesting in support of your homeland or sister people, then move on to vandalism and trespassing. When you get expelled and removed, you go home and carry on with your life. No real allegiance to America or care about their future here.

One of the first students to be suspended at Columbia, fwiw, is Palestinian American. He won't be removed but he has lost his scholarship and changed the trajectory of his future.

Or earn valedictorian and be denied the traditional speaking roll because you wear a headscarf and jews groups on campus make it unsafe for you to speak. Or have a peaceful protest that is set upon by paid right wing thugs while the police watch, wait and then arrest you because you dare criticize Israel’s genocide? Funny think is the Brownshirt are supported by law enforcement.

Yes America no longer the land of the free thanks to Israel.
