Ladies, please put your boots back in the closet.

There has been maybe one day where they have been appropriate so far. Aren't your legs roasting hot? You look ridiculous.

That is all.

Actually they've been quite good for the rain - no soggy pants.

You must have a different thermostat than I do. I've been wearing boots with dresses & skirts all week, and I've been reflecting on how it is the perfect solution for this weather.

I guarantee you that I have not "roasted" for a single minute.

Sorry, but they still look ridiculous. That's what rain boots are for. I know we are all excited to pull out the cute boots that have been stuffed in our closets for 6 months, but don't do it!

Dude, the dew point is at 70 today. It is humid as hell. It has been 70-80 degrees every single day this week.

Agree, OP! Hold off!

I'm glad summer weather is back. Cold weather depresses me. Hopefully the warm weather sticks around a good while longer. I want to keep wearing shorts and sandals.

I've never understood why anyone cares what other people are wearing. Dare I say it ... get a life!

OP, I would honestly like to know why you care that they look ridiculous. Do they offend you? Are they hurting you? Are you worried that they may overheat since it's so humid? Why do you care what they wear?

It was in the 60's last week. Today's in the 80's. Weather shifts.

I can't. Its part of my uniform.

I'm in boots and a skirt today. It's supposed to rain this afternoon and I walk just under a mile everyday as part of my commute.

I don't own rain boots, so these are better than fighting puddles in flats or heels. My feet stay dry and I don't have to worry about my pants getting soaked.

Plus, while it's miserably humid outside, my office is frigid.

Sounds good to me.

And rain boots look stupid, anyway.

OMG - I am laughing so hard. Earlier this week a woman got on my elevator at the office. She was wearing boots, tights, tweed skirt and a turtleneck sweater!!! She looked utterly ridiculous. All I could think was - what the HELL is wrong with her. next woman who got on was wearing cotton pants and sandals with a tunic. Looked appropriate.

First of, there is nothing uglier and less professional looking than skirts with boots. I cant stand that look.
