Is anything really problematic for them? They’ll just try again later with something dumber. Like the bag of cocaine that they so wanted to be Hunter’s, for example. That one’s one of my favorites because it was so clearly a USSS plant. An entrance Hunter never uses and a bag of cocaine with not just not Hunter’s prints on it, but no one’s prints on it.

It's been clear for a while that there are going to be a lot of major evidentiary issues with prosecuting him. That's likely a major factor that was driving the plea deal.
