I guess you have to take “culture” where you can get it in D.C.

Where do you live that's so filled with culture?

Why ask this in such a rude manner in consideration of the recent news headlines?

I never realized that song was Go-Go.

Oh its eyeroll chick. You always have so much of interest to say and aren't at all pathetic.

Listen. Racism is prejudice plus power. It's always acceptable to punch up towards the people in power with humor and satire but you can never punch down.

And once more for the people in the back. There. Is. No. Such. Thing. As. Being. Rascist. Against. Whites. You can be prejudiced against whites but again Rascim implies an unequal power dynamic.

And flipping dont come at me that there isn't an advantage to being white in the US because there flipping is. And scientists and statistics have proven this. To believe otherwise is ignorant AF.

OP. I am 46yo and grew up in Arlington and have worked in DC since college. I never heard people talk about go go nor would I have been able to describe it either - so I don't think you are crazy for asking

White NP here. I’m incredibly embarrassed by the level of ignorance and racism on this thread. Awful. If you love DC, try to understand and respect it. And if you don’t love it, maybe post your ignorant complaints to your suburban message boards.

The extent of the white bubble sometimes surprises me, like now.
