NP. I strongly disagree. While he was enormously popular in hip hop world, he had little reach beyond. I think she actually expanded his reach and gave HIM legitimacy outside of the music world.

NP here. Wrong. A lot of the big designers didn't want to work with Kim, and it was Kanye that introduced her to all of his fashion designer friends. She even thanked him for it last year during a speech when she won some sort of fashion icon award.

KUWTK was headed toward cancellation and Kim couldn’t buy a legitimate magazine cover before Kanye showed up. She was licking her wounds from her sham marriage and then Kanye claimed ‘ his muse” and the rest is history.

Honestly what legitimacy to you think Kim gave to Kanye? In the fashion world, he'd already before 2010 become the first non-athlete to have a Nike shoe, designed and released a line of shoes with Louis Vuitton that debuted at Paris Fashion Week, and become friends with Anna Wintour, among other things. Five of his 6 pre-Kim albums debuted or reached #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, which for a hip-hop act at the time wasn't common. He had several number one Hot 100 singles and worked with massive non-hip-hop acts like Katy Perry, John Mayer, Elton John, Rihanna, and Alicia Keys, and he was set to co-headline a tour with Lady Gaga in 2009 but it was ultimately cancelled. Not to mention all the Grammy's and other accolades, and the media stunts that also helped catapult his celebrity.

Most of his post-Kim ventures have been duds besides for the Adidas deal, which had nothing to do with her but instead his already high status and the previous success and establishment of the Yeezy brand with Nike. All she did was make him into a tabloid news story. Sorry that's what it took for you to find out who he was, grandma.

As the family member of someone with bipolar, it’s really hard to read a lot of these posts. People just don’t get it.

I know people with bipolar and have other family members who suffer from mental illness. Kanye gives people with Bipolar disorder a bad name. Kanye is also a narcissist (look up Narcissistic Personality Disorder) and an abuser. He‘s full of hate. Does your family member start spouting hate speech against specific groups when they have an episode? If so, can you really say they never said showed any bigotry when on their meds? He’s a full blown controlling narcissist.

I have no idea who West is when well, and he could just love the attention that controversy brings but one of the symptoms of bipolar disorder is grandiosity.

Someone needs to educate Kanye on the full history of n@zi programs and H!tler. The "trial run" to the Holocaust was H!tler's T4 program, the mass genocide of disabled people in Germany. Before they went after Jewish people, H!tler decided to round up all the physically, mentally and intellectually disabled people and kill them. First they started with babies, and since that was wildly successful, then they went after children and adults. When killing them one by one was too inefficient and slow, the gas chamber was created where many people could be killed at once and they decided the incinerate the bodies.

There was no push back from the public. H!tler was so pleased with himself then went forward with going after the Jewish population.

Entertainment mogul Ari Emanuel; he’s Rahm and Ezekiel‘s brother. In addition to the photo looking emasculating for Elon, Ari also ran point on Elon’s Twitter fiasco, so I think that’s what Kanye was getting at.

The Taylor Swift thing and the George Bush thing seem to be a pretty consistent pattern of behavior over the last 20 years. But most entertainers and creatives are nuts. Social media like this didn’t exist 10 or 15+ years ago for us to see and hear from them 24/7. This is a new frontier.
