So with the Casey Anthony case there have been alot of people brining up JonBenet Ramsey. I know the case it pretty much closed and they exonnerated the family from being suspects, but they still have no one who committed the crime. Personally I think the family had something to do with it because it all seemed so weird but who knows. The entire case was weird.
There is one poster that keeps freaking out about how people should know that it was not the family, but no one was ever caught. They have "unidentified male" DNA but thats it. That does not mean the family had nothing to do with it. Wasn't there a window broken out from the inside and no other traces of someone entering the home? In any case, am I missing something here? Can someone clear up the facts or what happened? |
Jonbenet went missing and a ransom note was present. They searched the house and didn't find her. They later found her dead in a suitcase in the basement. There was evidence that someone probably tried to take her through the basement window, but the suitcase wouldn't fit. She was strangled with a ligature and had a skull fracture. There was DNA found on her underwear of a man that has yet to be identified.
There were no signs of forced entry, but it was later discovered that doors and a window may have been unlocked at the time. There is no evidence that implicates the parents had anything to do with it, but that didn't prevent dumbass police and media making suspicions sound factual. I don't see the connection between the cases, other than they were both little white girls who were missing and found dead and their killers have not been convicted. The parents were suspected because they're family members. The police really had no place making vague statements that hinted it was her parents. |
One more note, the media made a big deal about no footprints in the snow, but the walkways were cleared of snow. |
what about some evidence they had about the ransom note being written by the mom? was that just BS? |
I think that was a short-lived theory given too much weight by the media. |
Just google, I'm sure you can find web sites and info. From what I understand, the Boulder police MAJORLY botched this investigation, in every way possible, and received a lot of flack for it (rightly so, just saying that part is not in question - it was a horribly executed investigation at almost every turn - one reason was the fact that that Boulder was such a safe area and a lot of the authorities just frankly had no experience with this kind of thing). I seem to recall the parents were cleared and I remember thinking it made sense. the mom has sense died of breast cancer. I do believe there was evidence that a basement window or door was left open. |
has *since* died... |
Why would the family protect a nonfamilial male? Not going to happen. Many unsolved crimes have oddities. Sometimes it is hard to make sense of them until you have the offender. Once you have that then other pieces fall into place. |
Research shows (from the deceased child project) that when a child is murdered in the home, overwhelming evdence supports the mother as the murderer.
This does not say that JonBenet was killed by her mother - just that it is likely. |
Thank you Miss Marple. |
I think what makes them similar is the fact both families did strange things after the fact. Things which didn't make sense to the average person and are hard to explain away. |
OP here. Thanks for pps providing recaps of it. I guess I did not remember the State absolving the parents from anything because I still think they acted really stange and thought they had something to do with it.
The last thing I remember is the mom dying of cancer and then they had that lunatic they confessed but he was actually lying so there was no real head way made in the case. Another sad ending. |
Within the past week the man who abducted and murdered a child was found 56 years after the crime. People are murdered and their murderers are never found. The Ramsey's were exonerated and she died a few years ago. Stop blaming someone who can't defend herself. It is recommended that you get your facts straight before you mouth off. |
Yeah, DNA evidence exonerated the parents but they have never found the male who the DNA belonged to. It wasn't from the dad or brother or other family member. I think in some ways people WANT the parents to have been responsible, because as parents ourselves we don't want to believe that some stranger could come in to our homes in nice neighborhoods and do that. But, JonBenet might have been an extra easy target because of her involvement in all those pageants - it's likely her pictures etc. were around more than the average kid. |
You are a very unpleasant person. I asked questions about what happened and did not "mouth off" as you so rudely put it and I certainly did not blame anyone in particular. Please go bother someone else who wants to argue with you. |
