I love dooce and Kelle Hampton, but wondering if anyone has any other recommendations? |
I read WAY too many blogs.
for stuff to do in DC http://aparentinsilverspring.com/ generic, really funny and poetic http://jodifur.com/ http://dialmforminky.com/ Good for the special needs http://www.stimeyland.com/ |
Ugh, I can't stand to read moms wax poetic about mommyhood. So boring. |
Ditto. I know I should just keep my mouth shut. I tried, but I couldn't resist once someone else said it first! |
NOT AMALAH. |
Definitely not Amalah, unless you want to hear how stressed she is that she lives in MoCo and has to shop all of the time. Whiny. |
Not "Mom" Blogs but parenting
Wired: GeekDad DaddyTypes For "Mom" Blogs Rowdy Kittens Pancakes and French Fries Simple Mom (can be preachy) Simple Kids (same) Two Chicks and a Hen Modern Alternative Mama (preachy - slightly different way) |
I used to read Amalah years ago, when we were both 25 or so. Back then, I thought her charming and flighty and fun and yeah, self-centered in the way 25 year olds are. But then as she got older and had kids? The immaturity wasn't so cute. The self-centeredness seemed sad. I had to stop reading. I have to admit though that I haven't found any bloggers I really like so I'm loving these recs. |

http://www.vintagegingerpeaches.com/ http://www.thatartistwoman.org/ http://quinceandquire.typepad.com/ I have some others saved on my other computer. I don't read them often, but always enjoy it when I do. They are mainly blogs that have a creative/artistic bend to them. |
Pretty real take on working mom in her 30's plus a side of fashion advice.

Butidohavealawdegree.com get old fast. She seems to have just two themes: "I'm not at work" and "I'm getting so famous!" |
