I'm 25 weeks. I have had little roids for a while, they barely bother me, but recently had an unpleasant bout with severe constipation that I eventually managed by changing prenatal vitamins, and in the process of, um, clearing out, have inflamed them to the point that I feel like I have a golf ball wedged between my cheeks. It hurts to sit, stand, walk, sleep in any position... Prep. H doesn't seem to do much. Any tips much appreciated - I cant imagine living like this for 15 more weeks. |
Drink more water than you think you can stand. Go to a proctologist to get some stronger medicine. It will go away, but you should also be proactive about water and fiber to ensure they don't flare up again. |
Put tucks pads in the fridge and tuck around the roids at every chance. I don't know if it shrinks them but it sure feels nice |
Do everything you can to get rid of them asap. I think prescription strength cortisone cream that you shoot up there was what worked best for me.
I had horrible roids during labor and my asshole hurt more during pushing than my vag. Long story short: epidural stopped working when I started pushing; I pushed for 4 hours; Baby was 10 lbs; 3rd degree tear. Roids hurt worse. |
Soak in a shallow bath. |
Bad new for you: They are probably permanent, meaning even after baby is born, but at least they won't be inflamed all the time. Hopefully. |
mine went away about 2 months after i had the babies - call your ob/gyn and then ask for a referral to a specialist if they think you need it. you will be okay tucks are great |
Never had these before and have been introduced to them through labor and delivery.
OUCH Six days after birth I'm in serious pain. Any tips on sitting/coping? I'm using Tucks and prescription cream from the hospital. Do sitz baths really help? I'm not noticing a difference so far. And anyone else have a timeline for getting somewhat back to normal (in addition to the two-weeker PP). Thanks |
I got them BAD after #1 was born. I found sitz baths did help, with salts added. I added powdered fiber to my drinks. Also, I broke down and bought a donut to sit on. It was such a relief until they went away, which took several weeks. |
