Interesting news to stir up the autism/vaccine debate

Please stop posting this. The other thread points out that this "study" is simply and argument put forth by lawyers suing vaccine manufacturers.

Oh, this is too funny...I'm not the OP, but I'm the one who posted the link to the other thread....OP, thank you for posting this.

At the risk of feeding the trolls, this isn't news at all. My kids don't have ASD but I've known for a long time that the vaccine court did compensate some families who's kids had autism or autism-like symptoms but the basis for the judgment wasn't because vaccines cause autism. There's been no cover up. One of the lead authors, Mary Holland, is also still a fan of Dr. Wakefield,

From http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/742471 "In a chapter that she herself wrote in her 2011 book, Holland chronicled the Wakefield affair and concluded that he was unfairly punished "for his temerity to caution the public about vaccine risks and to urge them to use their own judgment." Wakefield, she wrote, has joined an honorable tradition of dissidents like Galileo and Nelson Mandela, and the world will eventually recognize that he stood up "for the practice of medicine and the pursuit of science."

I wish people would stop beating this dead horse.

Anything that comes from Fox isn't real news.

Exactly. Fox is not real news, this story is not based in fact.

Fox didn't organize it....are you that stupid?

OK...for all of you who are so caught up on Fox news not being real news, here it is on Ustream. I can guarantee you that no facts have been changed between Fox news and Ustream and that this press conference indeed did happen in DC.

The messenger is totally irrelevant. This wasn't a study. I find it completely dishonest that attorneys who have a self-interest in this litigation and parents still wedded to the conspiracy theory would roll this out as if they have found some new science. This isn't science, this is litigation. Its disingenuous and reeks of desperation.

I totally agree - it also reeks of denial.

Lawyers are not scientists. I wish people had a better understanding of the scientific method. So many people are scientific illiterates!

Oh and unless this is a peer reviewed medical or science journal, it is crap.
