Anyone really like their day care center in Arlington?

We are searching for a day care center for our 3 year old son in Arlington. We had a not great experience at Ballston Children's Center (I took him out after 2 weeks). Does anyone have a center that they would suggest?

Our child has loved being at Seven Corners Children's Center (near the CVS at the corner of Patrick Henry and Annandale Road). She's been there for more than a year and we've been really happy with it.

The teachers are really great (warm and loving). The daycare is NAEYC accredited and a Virginia Preschool Initiative preschool. My child has learned an incredible amount in a play-based environment with lots of enrichment activities. The families of many of the children there are not native English speakers, and it is very English-language-rich environment as the teachers try to prepare the kids for school.

We're sad that we'll be leaving the school soon as my child goes to kindergarten, but I can't recommend it highly enough. I think it's officially in Falls Church near the Falls Church/Arlington border, but the location may be convenient for you.

We have our 8 month old and our 2 year old at KinderCare in Arlington behind George Mason Law and really are very pleased with it. The staff is very friendly and our oldest adores his teachers. We have friends with older children that are and have gone through the school and they are the reason we are there.

We have had our daughter at the National Science Foundation Children's Development Center, which is a Bright Horizon's run daycare, for over 2 years and we love it. She also loves it and it is a major part of her life. It is well run with dedicated teachers and staff. She has grown tremedously under their care. They are also very customer oriented - very responsive to parents and geared toward providing you with the answer and information you need on your child's care while at the center. We had our daughter in an in home daycare for a little over 6 months before we got the call that we were next on the wait list at NSF CDC. While the in-home daycare was fine, it was not ideal and not customer oriented. The provider was as nurturing as she could be with the amount of children she cared for and while our daughter was safe, the routines and approach to her care was more driven by managing several toddlers and 2 infants than by what was best for my daughter's development. The only problem you may run into with NSF CDC is that the wait list is very long. Fortunately, they allow anyone to pay a small fee to get on their wait list regardless of whether you are expecting or not. So sign up if you think you may want to have a child in the next couple of years!

OP here. Thank you so much for the suggestions, especially the first person who responded suggesting Seven Corner's Children Center. We looked at a few places but that is where my son will be going. From the second that we walked in the door we could feel that it was a warm, loving place. In fact, the first time there we ended up staying almost 2 hours because my son did not want to leave the classroom. I went there this morning to get the final paperwork sorted and ended up staying for an hour and a half so that he could play. Thanks.

OP, what were your concerns with Ballston CC? Are you happy with Seven Corners now that you've been there a few weeks?
