Protests on college campuses

Some - not all - of these protesters are in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, or national origin in programs or activities that receive federal financial assistance.

They have prevented students from going to areas on campus, they have chanted antisemitic rhetoric, held antisemitic signs, and threatened, harassed, and attacked Jewish students.

Where is the DOJ?

This Democrat controlled DOJ cares nothing about our laws.

Anti-semitism on its own would be a constitutional issue, I would think. Bigotry toward any group? Sure, that might fly and people could probably rally around that test, which incorporates anti-semitism, Islamophobia, etc.

Columbia protests aren’t the issue under federal civil rights and hate crime investigation right now. The UCLA mob attacks last night are, though.

This is the same group of people who are gutting Title IX protections for girls. You think they care about Title VI?

Have yet to see a single Jewish student not already intent on provocation on the receiving end of any threat, harassment, or attack. But I did see UCLA last night.

How do you explain those events?

Social media is toxic.

Well said. Screen time for children (maybe through middle school) has one overall result — destruction of the mind. Our government and the elite globalists are pleased. Dumbed down people are easy to control.

The kids understand the fascist surveillance state has been here for a while.

Shhhhhh the boomers don’t know about swarm of drones equipped with facial recognition technology. It wasn’t covered in cable news.

pro tip: if you’re engaged in peaceful protest, you do not need to hide your face.

Someone is in denial about authoritarians.

The UCLA non-student mob are Israel patriots. Jews who were raised right have allegiance to Israel first and allegiance to the US is a distant second.

They’re under hate crime investigation per who? Can you link that?

Sure, and while we are at it let’s crown Netanyahu the emperor of America.

Anti American are those who shipped billions of dollars worth of weapons to Israel in a single night without a single policy discussion, this is unprecedented. Anti American are those who want to continue to support Israel at the expense of U.S foreign policy, Anti American are those who are putting targets on the backs of American citizens just so Israel can continue with its genocide.

Last but not the least, Anti American are those who have a bigger loyalty to Israel than America.

Now, what do you want to do these Anti Americans?

I mean I hate to say this but it doesn’t look like Blinken is representing U.S foreign policy. Actions speak way louder than words.

+1 It looks like Israel doesn't care about the hostages. In an article with a headline about "Netanyahu stronger" WSJ reported today: “Members of his small war cabinet are pushing him to cut a deal to free hostages, but ministers on the right wing of his broader coalition are threatening to bring down his government if he cuts a deal that prevents a Rafah operation.”

Chilling. So much blood on Biden right now.

Ex IDF soldiers. Every Israeli male or female is an Ex IDF soldier, since military service is compulsive and Israel is an active occupier.

Even if a college divests, nothing changes. Like, literally nothing.

Protest peacefully in Washington. Lobby your reps on the Hill.

If you just want to cosplay “activist” on your parent’s dime instead of studying for exams, then do it in DC. At least it will be somewhat effective.

People don't want to do that in this instance for the repercussions of being labeled antisemitic or pro-Hamas or losing their job. That's why it will come out at the ballot box.*

For comparison, I was in this crowd of 100K on 10/26/2002 for the ANSWER rally to protest the looming war with Iraq. For comparison, I looked up the total death count by that point: about 22,000 Afghans. So not even close to the total death count in Palestine we've already unfortunately seen.

Bush did what he wanted and another 250K to 380K civilians died.

Here's the rally for those who want to relive, there was also a march: https://www.c-span.org/video/?173521-1/anti-war-rally

*AP polling as of early February (so undoubtedly much higher) showed...
"Half of US adults say the military response from Israel in the Gaza Strip has gone too far, up from November" and
Only "31% of U.S. adults approve of Biden’s handling of the conflict, including just 46% of Democrats"

Ok.

And which American presidential candidate will handle things differently/better…recognizing we really don’t have any control over what Israel does?

Biden stands with Israel.

Trump will, too.

So, is there someone you think has the silver bullet?

So, just leave Israel unchecked? Throw up our hands? I think most people in the world would hope people would protest 35K civilians dead in 6 months.

Um, do you not follow the news?

ICYMI: The US and the UK are working tirelessly to get this under control. Google it. Heavy coverage starting 48 hours ago. Go educate yourself on what the sane leaders from the civilized countries are doing to put an end to the suffering.

Nobody is leaving Israel unchecked. All of this is just more complicated at the local, regional, and global levels than you realize.

Did you see that Israel announced today it will bomb Rafah regardless of any deal? I was willing to debate the term genocide before, as I think it's inflammatory. But, at this point they've just announced a genocide. Will the US continue to pay for it? To watch it?

Sane leaders, SMDH.
