Anyone going to the LAMB lottery tomorrow???

Anonymous
This is my first time dealing with this so I don't know what to expect. At other schools I've heard they do the "higher" grades first and then the lower grades. LAMB only lets in 3 and 4 yrs olds, right? So will they start with the 4 year olds first?? How long will that take?? Anyone have any idea how it all works? And can I bring my child to the lottery?? Plenty of people seemed to bring their kids to the Open Houses, so I was just wondering... thanks to anyone who has any information.

Where and when is the lottery?
Anonymous
yes you can bring your child. they will probably have a bunch of seats out for the public

call LAMB tomorrow and ask to speak to the director of admission so that you know exactly what the process is. the card i received from lamb confirming receipt of our application said not to call for lottery results as there are over 400 applicants.

There's no "director of admissions" at LAMB... just a time-strapped administrative team. I would not call the school, I would take time off of work and go, or have a friend go for you if you need to find out right away.

on the letter LAMB sent home was a lottery number on it?

No lotto #. Must go by name.

If you can't go to the lottery, and aren't supposed to call the find out lottery results, when will they inform parents of their children's results? Letter? How long does that take?

what time is the lottery for tonight?

Each person has an application number - we got ours at the front desk after our tour (we had applied several weeks earlier). I don't know if they will call out numbers during the lottery, or names associated with the numbers. Anyone know?

Apparently, you will be informed of the lottery results within 10 days.

The lottery is today at 1:30pm

Everyone was put on the waiting list until they have the Charter board's approval to open the new location in NE.

PP - are they in any certain order of which we will be notified? did you go to the lottery?

Thanks

Has anyone gotten a call/email yet from LAMB?
Do they notify "winners" first and then let wait-listed families know within ten days as PP mentioned?

I just got back...my DC didn't get a spot in the initial class lottery. I didn't wait to see where DC fell on the waitlist.
