| On the weekend of November 7 (I know.. a LONG time ago) I noticed what appeared to be an inflamed pimple about an inch to the right of my nipple on my right breast. It was really red. I squeezed it really, really hard and I am pretty sure that some stuff came out. Then it got all red/purply as if I had broken a blood vessel or something. Anyway, it is still there. There is still some kind of "lump", but it feels more like a grain of rice and is directly under the skin, not deep below. Is this something I should be freaking out about? I am 26, if that matters, and I have never breastfed. All of a sudden I'm starting to get really nervous. I can get an "emergency appointment" at the doctor asap, but I don't know if this is something I should be freaking out about. |

It's probably an abcess. When you squeezed it you probably pushed some of the infected puss the other direction deeper into your breast and now you have an infection that needs to be cut open and treated. Although I would think that would be painful but you didn't mention any pain.
Definitely go to the doctor asap to get it taken care of and to rule out anything more serious. |
| I have had an abscess before on another part of my body (fun times.. let me tell you) and this is definitely not an abscess! That said, I do think it is possible that you are right and stuff got pushed back in. I will make an appt today. Do you think I should go to the obgyn or what? |
I'd go to my primary. It sounds more like a skin issue than a breast issue. I bet either one could help or at least give you a referrral to the proper doctor. |

Paget's disease of the breast
Paget’s disease of the breast is an eczema-like change in the skin of the nipple, and 9 out of 10 women who have it have an underlying breast cancer. The underlying breast cancer may be an invasive breast cancer or ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). In DCIS, the cancer cells are completely contained within the milk ducts. Paget’s disease affects about 1–2 out of every 100 women with breast cancer. It is most common in women in their 50s, but can occur at a younger or older age. It can affect men, but this is extremely rare. |
aaand this is not at all what the OP described. Not that she shouldn't get it checked out. Way to be an alarmist and spread the fear! |
| It actually sounds like an inflamed/infected Montgomery Gland. Annoying, but nothing to really worry about. I had one when I was about 26 and there was permanent damage to the gland, but it is just fine. |
| OPdid you get a disgnostic? I have the same! I discovered today and Im feaking out!! Please help me sleep today. Thanks |
| I've been having something similar but it's been tere for about a year now. And when I try to relive it, only clear liquid comes out then it will scab over. Once the scab heals a layer of skin will grow back over and make it look like a pimple, but when you pop it i have the same realuts with luiqed and blood. I'm just a teen. |

Just get it checked out. Its very useful at your age to learn the range of normal for your breasts, and what should be checked out. So while I highly doubt it is anything concerning, seeing a doctor will both alleviate your anxiety and help set you up to monitor your breasts in the future.
See a gynecologist. |

It could be a cyst. I had a friend who was terrified she had breast cancer because she had a lump and it turned out to be basically a pimple--the pore had clogged and the infection grown. She worked on opening it with hot cloths and once it drained, the lump went away.
I doubt it's an emergency, but you could certainly have it looked at. |
