How to lose weight (especially lower belly fat) after C-Section

Anonymous
I am about to have my second child, and I never managed to lose the weight from first pregnancy (despite 18 months nursing, I managed to gain weight). At this point, I'm at my heaviest, and worry that I will be even more tired after this delivery with a rambunctious 3 yo son, newborn, and juggling childcare and work. Any suggestions regarding how to lose the weight in an efficient manner? Walking, exercise videos, etc...All thoughts are welcome. If any of you did particularly helpful things after having a C-section, that would be helpful information as well. Thanks!

on maternity leave i walked as much as possible i think starting at 2 weeks i started walking with my husband and the dog in the mornings. after another week i started walking with the baby for as many hours of the day i could. then once i got the go ahead i joined the jillian michaels site and did her workouts and eating plan and lost about 8lbs/month. i would work out with the baby in the swing right next to me. i don't have two though, so that adds an extra dimension.

honestly though, the thing you most need to get under control to lose the weight is your diet. try weight watchers and you can start that the day you get home from the hospital (online version). exercise helps you tone up, but diet is 80% of the battle.

1. calorie count e.g. www.fitday.com -- or -- points a-la weight watchers.
2. aerobic exercise. i highly recommend buying a treadmill so you can get a jog in whenever there's a spare 10 mins.

low carb diet and interval cardio. i still have 10 to go and love me some carbs. unfortunately (sigh). it is hard but it is the sure fire way to lose fat, esp belly fat.
