My name and google

Anyone ever been through this before? I know it’s not a huge deal but it’s still unsettling.

I am Hoping these dollar value and the place is fictional. Because it will be very easy to know about you with the reverse search; your name, where you are from, street address and other stuff. All utilizing the GOOGLE.

Pretty sure the data breach with Equifax was the culprit on why our names readily showed up when we googled our own names

How much was it?

The PP you quoted
$200 for 2 people for 2 years of service.

What's the name of the company? I'd be interested in it.

OP, obviously anyone who knows you well knows that you wouldn't embezzle, unless you come across as extremely shady, in which case you may have something to be worried about.

I think OP is worried about job interviews/first dates/other people who don’t know him well yet, and will not choose to continue the relationship if they think he embezzled millions from his former company.

how do you get them to remove personal info? when i search it comes up with my age and some former addresses.

We used DeleteMe.com ,but there are other companies who do it too.

OP would not be able to delete this information, it's not his to delete.

I have an uncommon name and the only other person with my name in the US died last year. It was weird seeing 'my' obituary.

I share a fairly uncommon name with a police officer that was convicted of rape, he’s my age and I’m a retired cop.
I’m not aware of the name connection harming me but it takes a few search steps before it clears up, unfortunately google images make finding the other pictures really hard.

Anonymous wrote:My daughter has an unusual name, and when you google it, she's the only one who comes up. I don't like it, but she's on social media, so her pictures are even in the images. At least if someone tried to steal her identity, they wouldn't get very far, because it's impossible to reproduce her entire name without being suspicious. Even her last name is uncommon. Is this really true (that identity theft is more difficult if you have an unusual name)?

I had to google my name a few years ago because one of the credit agencies was pulling other people's credit history into my credit report, and some of their items were really bad.

I found at least 38 distinct people with my exact first and last name. One of them was a porn actress, which kind of thrilled me a little. And one of them was a PR person at a major government agency. I feel like I should send her a card to thank her for being responsible for 95% of the google search results, making me harder to find.

How did you do this? I have an embarrassing myspace pic that comes up when you google me haha

I google my own name and I get a lot of things that are me, a name sake who died in childbirth, another one who died in the 1800s (its not a common name)

and a MUGSHOT of a woman about 2 years older than I am, who looks like a major meth head.

that's it.

Don't click ever again on the links connected with him and they should fall further down the list of sites coming up. I think that's right anyway...

When I google my name only, I get results of other people and my LinkedIn profile, but when I google my name snd ghe coty I live in I get a lot more details even my birth date. I’m consideting paying for a service to keep track and deleting new info as I spent several hours going from one website to another deleting my profiles to only have them back online months later.

When you google my unusually spelled named (thanks parents) it brings up a porn star and her work with the same name. She seems quite prolific and well known for such a boring name.
