OP, I suppose you'd judge me too. I wear nothing else but jeans. Sometimes straight leg jeans, usually skinny or boyfriend jeans. I know it's boring, but I always know what pants I'm going to wear. Jeans. I've thought about switching to black ponte pants, but then those are basically yoga pants, and I've had trouble finding yoga pants that look okay with my post-baby tummy. |
OP is a nut case. She seems so fixated on how amazingly petite and fit this women is. And how she has the leisure of working from home and can be comfortable while working yet ready in a flash to attend her child's events. Hey, some people just have no stress in their lives and I envy them too but, I don't really care what they wear as long as it is clean. |
I was just coming here to ask this... why are jeans different? Jeans are also a form of pants that people were often. Would you care if she constantly wore jeans? |
OP asks: Is this weird? Pps uniformly (a DCUM rarity) say MYOB or provide reasons why yoga pants may not be a fashion choice but one of necessity/comfort. OP comes back and answers "It is weird. You Americans have no fashion pride." Just mind yourself op. |
OP, were you hoping that people would come on here and ridicule your acquaintance for wearing yoga pants all the time? Some people just don't care that much about clothes. Black yoga pants are easy and comfortable, and one doesn't have to give a lot of thought to what to put on with them. Black pants and a top and you're dressed for the day. It's not my personal choice, but I certainly see the attraction in not having to worry about what you're wearing each day. |
+1 Same thing. FFS sake OP, do you have any inkling of how pathetic you sound? |
Yoga pants shouldnt be worn to dinner. How hard is it to put on jeans? |
Nope, I wouldn't judge you at all. Jeans are socially acceptable attire to most events, plus you have variety in jeans. Might be boring non stop, but it is appropriate attire to many social events. |
She is wearing the uniform of a work-at-home person. She's doing just fine.
And as someone around 50, she doesn't care if you don't like it. She is secure in herself these days, and she's worked hard to get there. She might wonder why you would dress up to watch soccer practice. Why are you trying so hard? You do you, boo. |
I might sound pathetic to you, and I agree on my judging, but I am not wrong about yoga pants non stop being a wrong wear for most occasions. So, insult me all you want for not MMOB, but answer this: Do you wear yoga pants non stop for any event? If you do, see a fashion consultant, if you don't you are a hypocrite. |
Yes, she was. When that didn't work out she decided to make sweeping insults about appearance. Though I suspect when she says she is "from Europe" what she really means is that she spent a semester abroad in college (and came back speaking with an accent she swore she couldn't hear herself using). |
This is the most honest, reasonable answer I got so far. Thanks. |
If you had any command of the English language, you could easily discern that I am not a native speaker. |
I thought this was going to be about someone wearing just pants and no shirt outside. lol
This is silly, OP. Who cares. |
I posted so I can see what clothing choices are the norm for people posting here, she was an example. I am not new to DCUM and knew that this would give me a good perspective. It is about fashion choices, and it seems I was right. She is not poor, she is very affluent. |
