My diet's pretty good I think, lots of fish, chicken and veggies and only occasional red meat. I do love cheese though, so that probably doesn't help.

I'll usually open the window and turn on the fan, but it's still a good 15 to 20 minutes before it's "safe" to enter.

That's insane.

Insane how bad I stink it up? I know, that's why I was curious if anyone else was the same way. DH jokes that I'm worse than a truck driver. But I swear, you would never guess it from looking at me.

Poopourri for the win!

Please do not. Essential oils affect a growing portion of the population poorly. I know a number of people who get headaches and migraines from essential oils (fortunately, not me). Matches and poopourie are much better solutions than essential oils.

Stop eating so much meat and cheese. Try going vegan for a week and see if that helps.

Those things slow down your digestive system (including seafood and chicken), which makes things "marinate" in your digestive system longer, smelling more, and you pooping less.

Much more plant based (meat no more than once a week) means a faster moving digestive system, more frequent and far less smellier poops.

That's not always true. My family is mixed carnivorous and omnivorous and we don't have problems with fragrant poops. In fact, when I do have smelly poops, it's often due to green roughage, leafy greens like broccoli, spinach, kale and cabbage are all particularly bad. So it can vary significantly. It's often a question of what bacteria you have in your digestive tract. I agree that OP should take probiotics. But be careful, you want live culture probiotics. Many of the brands nowadays do not guarantee live cultures and you'll get a lot of dead cultures. This is a good review of major brands:

If you are in your own home- light a match- seriously covers up any bad smell right away- better than poopouri.

I second taking magnesium at night- best to empty your bowels firs thing in the morning so you avoid having to go at work or anywhere else.

I eat meat about once/ week, cheese every day. I poop 2-3x/ day, sometimes at work, which is why I posted about using Poo Pourri.

I'm a PP. Did you ever read the Poo Pourri label?

I don't have this problem, but some women in my office sure do. Smells that would put an elephant to shame.

I don't eat red meat or drink much alcohol but my poo smells so bad that people retch after I have been in there. Again, you wouldn't think it to look at me.

OP here, it's good to know that I'm not alone. Have you always been this way? How long does it stay stinky for? Have you found anything that helps?

Nothing helps, I think it is my diet, I eat a lot of curry, onions and garlic and think I am sensitive to milk all of which makes for a disgusting bathroom experience. People are shocked that I can produce that bad a smell, it's embarrassing. Everyone else seems to crap rainbows and I could walk in after someone has had a poo and it would smell okay. Don't know what my problem is

More veggies and water. Less meat.

Not better than poopouri. seriously, that stuff is good.

Dairy and SUGAR (and probably grains) especially make my poop STINK. Meat and veggies ... just regular poop with a small smell. Also, much easier to poop without dairy in me.
