Good "neutral" to paint walls for selling home

"Antique white" is a lovely, warm neutral. Swiss coffee is a cooler off-white, but not stark. I've used both and never tired of them. You can get away with all the rooms being neutral colors if you leave some art on the walls and you have some colored accents here and there.

I think it has a touch of gray in it, though? It's recommended as a white to go with gray marble like Carrara. BM Simply White is a soft, neutral white, and they have many shades of cream too.

It's got a little yellow in it

I also remember Dove White to be a cool, grayish white.

We want to repaint our den, and the trim is currently BM's White Dove, which is the trim color throughout the house. Our den sofa is a dark gold/bronze small herringbone fabric. Do you think either of the colors you mentioned or White Dove could work for the walls? TIA!

Sherwin Williams' Accessible Beige is a good neutral.

Classic gray, Benjamin Moore. Such a light color, but slightly offsets the white trim. Our buyers love it.

Thank you so much for all of the recommendations. You all rock!

Try BM's Pale Oak, it is a griege/grey neutral that works well with less light and nicely with white trim without such a strong contrast as Edgecomb Grey. Our home is a rambler from the same era fwiw. We had our walls and trim painted with BM's Linen White and it looked somewhat dingy/ dirty to me in the lower natural light, but we are just repainting in phases to get the color right.

It's actually White Dove, not Dove White. It reads as a not-too-cool off white but it does look great with gray. Definitely not yellowish or cream.

Benjamin Moore reformulated their White Dove in 2014, adding more white and less yellow to address complaints that in some light it appeared gray. It's now a purer white white.

We just staged a condo for sale and the realtor recommended Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter as a light, neutral gray. It looked great.

If you aren't looking to spend $$$ on Benjamin Moore paint because you're moving, I love Behr's Sandstone Cove.

You can also get BM colors mixed in other paints. Just tell the Home Depot guys you want a particular BM color in Behr paint, and they can mix it.

I am currently obsessed with Benjamin Moore's Cotton Balls. It is incredible - absolutely gorgeous.

Found recommendation from this blog - her paint colors are spot on. :
http://laurelberninteriors.com/2014/03/26/great-shades-white-paint/

She also has a post narrowing those recommendations down (and the ones to stay away from) - to a top six list.

I've taken her advice on a couple of paint colors for our new house and she's been right every time.

Good luck!

I haven't used it since 2010 and ordered some shutters in that paint. It's not considered an off white any more?
