Kane from Kaneshow divorcing and crying on air right now (Part 3)

Anonymous
Part of Kane's problem is he thinks he's irreplaceable. But there are bigger and better shows out there. It would be a huge deal for iHeart in DC if they cancel him because he's their star, but enough is enough.

So, can anyone do a summary of Part 2?

I read a lot of part 1 where it was mostly about the Kane divorce. But I totally lost the thread on Part 2. A simple summary, please?

I stopped listening after Danni's meltdown and found EITM - I'll never go back! I realized I hadn't laughed in a long time listening to Kane, and that it was all fake. I was floored honestly. After feeling duped like that, I'll never be a die hard fan like I used to be.

I feel our anonymous family is more family-like than TKS.. I'm happy to have you posting on this thread

I stopped listening to TKS sometime in November while listening to podcasts cuz I started realizing that they were kinda getting on my nerves. Now I listen to the Hey Frase podcast and Elvis Duran. It's funny, Elvis Duran has twice as many people and seem more like a family and have less drama than TKS

So wait, was Danni in the replays today at all? Last week I pointed out that having Danni in the replays was telling because if she is for sure off the show, there is no way they would have her in the replays... If the replays today were sans Danni... That sounds like she's not coming back...

Yes. In the segment I heard she was.

Yes! No one is going to be like THIS IS MY BOARD. LOVE MY COMMENTS MORE.

This shit is past ridic. There HAS to be an announcement tomorrow. Someone get a recording, I'm sure they will do it right at the beginning then delete it from the On Demand - I usually start listening around 815 - 830 on my commute in. I love trainwrecks which is why I continue to listen, then I can move on happily.

Also thank you for making a new thread - I was having to update my bookmark way too often to remember the page.

I love Hey Frase, I liked when they were on the Kane show and I was really sad when she left.

First time poster, been reading the threads since day one. Does anyone else think that Kane is most likely having a mental breakdown right now? He was so unstable to begin with these last few months, I don't think he is able to handle this at all. His entire empire is crumbling and it is so much more evident than ever online. This looks absolutely horrible for the new listeners/cities his show has acquired, even they won't be fooled by the lies this time.

There is NOTHING wrong with the equipment this morning. Hollywood/TV tonight was new. Kane was out and IJ and Rose just did those segments. Of course they weren't allowed to carry the whole show and had to play repeat segments in between. So frustrating. It's either a clause in his contract that he has to be there or it's a repeat, or it's an order from the stations. It's weird that you would have 2/3 of the cast there and still run another repeat.

Not defending or anything, but it's pretty typical that if the main host of a morning show is going to be out, the show goes into repeats. It happens all the time with the morning show in my area, it doesn't matter if every other person contributing to the show is around, if the person whose name is on the "marquee" (Kane in this instance) is gone, the show isn't live.

I had never heard of Kane prior to these threads on DCUM, but I can say that as a long-time listener on EITM, if any of the class members will be out, the show is on "Best Of." When Tyler delivered the baby 2 years ago... out for a week. When either of Diane's parents died, they were off. They were off for at least a day for Kayleigh's wedding (and she hardly speaks, but is the producer). The one exception I can think of is when Diane was out for maternity leave, then someone filled in for her during her leave.

How did Elliott handle things when Flounder ended up leaving DC101?

I said this in the last thread that Kane needs to step away from the microphone and get professional help. His ego is too big to allow for this though, in my opinion.

Peter is definitely freaking out. Might be part of the reason why he's not on air today.
