Craving smell of dirt/dust... but know I'm not iron deficient

How long after starting iron supplements did your craving for ice stop?

Well, I'm 67yrs. Old. All I can think about is the smell of dust riding on a dirt road. I can imagine it watching tv..
I use to love it when I was a kid, too.
I found find myself eating a lot of pickles or drinking glasses of v8 juice..
Seems to help a bit.
I am highly anemic, low iron, and my white blood cells drop.
