I lived in an old house in Virginia that had cave crickets (that's what we called them), and it did not make me feel better. Those suckers can jump really high and they are so, so yucky.

Fix any holes/entry points you can find and buy a dehumidifier. That has worked for us in a few different basements.

Get a gun and shoot their little jumping asses.

You can buy sticky traps for crickets from the hardware store. Whenever you get an infestation, put a few out. They will knock down the population in a week. Or just leave a trap out all the time and swap it out whenever it fills up. Cheap and easy.

All I know is its a concrete sub floor (a condo). I don't know about foundation to be honest.
