How do I know if I am on someone's "Restricted List" on Facebook?

Anonymous
Hi guys,
I only receive posts that I have been tagged in from my partner. And on some photos I can not make a comment or see the other comments? Does this mean she has restricted me?
Thanks for your help.

I think this restricted thing I'd F'en crap!! If ya don't want someone not 2 know what ya like an shit. Then just delete them!! Simple.. Think the Facebook inventors need to get rid of this restriction thing ASAP!!

If you add someone as your close friend then you will get notified everytime they post.

Guess that makes you an idiot for commenting on a revived thread. Bitch, bye.

It's never going to happen.

I would LOVE to know how people know they are restricted on FB!!! I have a creepy stalker person who will message me literally hours after I restrict him. I have reported him to facebook so many times, but they never do anything about it, I've even called my local police and his local police who do nothing. I moved from the state I lived in to another and he still finds me... (my address, like most things, on my fb is fake) One time he called my local police department and THEY gave him my address...idiots. He has so many fake alias on fb that I can't block them all. I even erased my account and started a new one and he found me. It's so creepy because I will friend someone who I have spoken with, I am very careful, and I'll have no idea it's him; but, in a few weeks he always reveals himself. There is a reason they call it stalker book.

For example, I'd like to see everything my husband posts, but I don't always.... Even though FB knows he is my husband.

I don't understand this. You live in the same house. You sleep in the same bed. Just comment to him in person. I always find it odd when family members use social media to tell each other things.

You can make groups within your Friends list. Then you can chose to have a post bistable to just your Close Friends/Family/acquaintances etc. I do that often because I have some acquaintances that don't need to be in the loop oh daily affairs.

FB can restrict you more and better than you can restrict someone.

i think you can also tell if you are restricted if you go to his album and there is an album that you can't access that means he restricted you to see that certain album might as well some of his posts or status.

Do you really care? Just let it go.

Restricted you will see very little if you click on profile page. Go into photos and if photos are greyed out or photos of the page owner missing this is another clue.

Best way is to find another fb friend who is that persons friend. If they see all the new up to date posts then you have been restricted.

As an acquaintance setting you won't see posts from the person in your news feed but if you go into that friends page you will see all their stuff.

As some say restricting seems so pointless. Have the balls and in friend them. You maybe doing them a favour too.

For those blaming algorithms, that is not entirely accurate. What is annoying is FB resetting most recent to "top stories" on a regular basis, and that is how one misses posts.

Create groups, then you can shorten your news feed.
