Do You hate your house? Why?

Perfect for pre-kids, not so great with two rambunctious boys and no useful yard. On a busy street, too. Our needs have changed, but husband thinks we'll take a bath on the house- we bought in 2006 (I don't think so). Stalemate.

We hate where our house is located (too far for DH's commute) and never planned on being here this long. Ever. I also hate numerous things about the set-up which just does not work for our family at all either:

1. master bedroom is too small for a bed larger than a double;
2. no unfinished space in the house (such as a basement storage room) for cat litter boxes;
3. every last inch of the house was designed for living space, leaving nada for storage space -- very poorly planned
4. dislike having w/d on ground level of 3-story TH
5. dislike area where we live, even beyond the commute factor

I could go on and on. . .

Can't you get it appraised?

We have gotten it appraised, and it comes in right around what we bought it at- just over 1.3M. FWIW, Zillow estimates are in the smae range. I was thinking of doing that thing- make me sell my house, or make me an offer, but DH thinks we have no chance. He is risk-averse.
