The candidate calling on Wasserman Schultz to release her tax returns hasn't released her own. What is she hiding? Typical Republican hypocrisy. |
Well, Ann Romney did say, "we better unzip him and let the real Mitt Romney out." http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/04/ann-romney-says-campaign-will-unzip-the-real-mitt/ |
Op, what's in your 401K? |
How would you know? Romney claims he has no idea, so how can you? Anyone who wants to know the real truth should look at 2009. That's his holdings before he started scrubbing them. Until he releases those, you can assume the worst. |
Wasserman should not throw rocks in a glass house |
Wasserman does not have a foreign investment account. She has mutual funds. Please, keep drilling on this, really. It only keeps Romney's finances in the news. The worst case scenario is that the public hates Wasserman and Romney. Only one of them is running for President. |
Who cares .... We have all realiized Mitt is rich. He is rich bc he is a strong businessman who made money For himself snd his investors..investors (who invest their own cash) gamble on the fact that mitt and his team could turn around failing companies. He got rich along the way... It is standard protocal for the uber wealthy to have overseas investments...Diversify..so when the us stock market tanks you have monet elsewhere. Not illegal. But i guess wasserman shultz thinks he should be giving all of his cash to her to soend the way she sees fit |
I have overseas investments. I don't have offshore accounts set up to avoid US taxes. You seem to miss the obvious difference between owning shares in foreign corporations on one hand, and parking assets in a foreign bank in order to dodge taxes on the other. This is really basic stuff. |
Fair enough. Then there is no reason for Romney to dispute the charges. Correct? |
So should every american who has 401k in foreign accounts be subject to the attacks of Wasserman? |
You are confused. Wasserman is being attacked by the OP of this thread for having 401K money in foreign investments. Of course, such attacks are not justified. Mitt is not being accused of having a 401K with foreign investments, but actually stashing money abroad. If, as the PP quoted above seems to believe, what Mitt did is no big deal, Mitt should just own up to it. Criticizing him for something he owns should not be considered a big deal. |
