Yeah, agreed. I couldn't find one that had a more tailored skirt that were a bit longer though. I think if it were knee length, a different fabric, and a slim fit, what she was going for could have worked. The shape, length and fabric of that skirt messed up the look to me. Also hopefully her hair was pinned up and conservative.

I don't dress like this, but some girls in my office push the envelope a bit and it never fails to get the old hens a clucking.

I am 48, tall, and in good shape. So I can wear quite a few items that others can't. However, even in my heyday, wearing fishnets was only for whores or for frequenting some low-class bars.

Today, if you're wearing them, I'm hoping you're in the bedroom entertaining your partner.

Depends on the work environment, but in our conservative firm I agree with this wholeheartedly. None of those outfits would be appropriate in our office and if you got in the habit of wearing them HR would speak to you and provide the firm standards on business casual attire.

Oh for pete's sake. People here are so preposterously conservative. Fishnets can look great, depending on the whole look, the work environment, a million different things.

And yay for you for being so tall you can get away with things that lots of other people can't. That definitely, for sure means you have the inside scoop on what everyone else should be wearing.

What's your job? Haven't seen many CPAs or attorneys wearing fishnets to meet with clients.

Yes, because that is all we are here.

What about bank tellers, consultants, IT professionals, real estate professionals, retail store workers, interior designers? Think outside of the box with this one. I think more people around the country who would work jobs where they COULD get away with fishnets, than those who have super conservative finance, big law, or government jobs.

Let me first ask you why you think fishnets are inappropriate? If she's wearing something that goes to her knees or longer, why does it matter what hosiery she's selected to go underneath? Let me also ask.....Is SHE inappropriate for wearing pantyhose, or are YOU inappropriate for sexualizing your coworker? Because her legs are covered. She'd be justified in filing an EEO on you for this.

I work administration at a prison, and I've never once been told my pantyhose are inappropriate, fishnets or otherwise. Why? Because they're just hosiery. And they're worn under things that are dress code compliant. Fishnets aren't sex-exclusive. Men just sexualize them. And when they sexualize them in the workplace, they get HR called. Because the pantyhose aren't inappropriate, but that kind of behavior absolutely IS. What a person chooses to cover her legs with is no one else's business.

Fashion has changed. They used to say women shouldn't wear trousers to work. Anything to distract from real issues like the gender wage gap

Nude micro fishnets are more comfortable and give a much sheerer snd natural look to my pale legs anyway. They are very very micro but I like how they feel and look. I will try and post a link. I think they are Calvin Klein.
