Paint brands: Can you really not match Benjamin Moore colors?

Anonymous
I'd stick with BM or SW (I like Duration). Duron is pretty cheap, in all senses. 10:44 is right that they're the same company (SW and Duron) with the same colors, but I've had night and day differences with the actual paint lines.

We just painted with the Ace Regal paint and it went on so perfectly and was very low odor. It also has scotchguard so its scrubbable.

Can you get a good match of a Benjamin Moore paint color in a Miller paint? I just got a gallon of Stonington Gray color in Miller Paint. It's a very close match. I just painted a small dining room but want to paint the kitchen, the living room, hallways and stairwell also.

That's not true, they were bought out by them but they have different names on the paint . That happened in 2004. 15 years.

The original thread was from 2011.

It depends on if you’re trying to paint a patch in an existing room or if you’re starting from scratch.
If the latter, sure, you can match it. Even if it’s a teeny bit different you’ll never notice.
