For those who are wondering, I just received word from my maintenance crew that my house made it through the storm unscathed. The folks we have staying there had to evacuate last night as there was a mandatory order issued, and this morning the crew had to cut there way through quite a few trees on the way in but when they got there they said 'not a scratch'. We tried to get a neighbor who ignored the evac order to walk over, but his response was "I'm still drunk from last night--give me another hour".
This is much better than Isabel as we had some significant damage from the winds and rain.
Now, should we start talking about 92L which is off the coast of Africa and projected to grow to near Irene strength in the next two weeks?
Nah, not yet. I'm too tired.
