Your assumption says more about you than it does her drink selection. |
| I used to love red wine but now it gives me reflux, so now I just order gin and tonic, if I'm out for a business dinner I would only order 2 at the most |
| What's wrong with a skinny margarita? |
| vodka and soda with a splash of cranberry juice, usually ordered as "Grey Goose and soda with a splash of cran" - yummm, now I want one with lunch (it's been a helluva day...) |
I'm wondering the same thing re the skinny margarita! I hate margaritas made with cheap mixer so for years I would explain that I wanted just tequila, lime juice, and a little triple sec. But, ever since the "Skinny Girl margarita" came along I just say that I don't want a mixer --I prefer it skinny girl style

| Skinny Margaritas? Cosmos? Yikes. Could you be more unsophisticated? Just order a glass of red wine or a vodka tonic. Or just go ahead, make people laugh at you. |
Countess Luann, is that you? |
You read the title, but not the actual post, but now someone else is a dumbass? |
Honey, I'm a drinker. You need to rethink your choices. |
Hmmm, I am wondering who are you that you have deemed yourself sooo sophisticated as to be able to judge others by what drinks they order? Did you buy a guide book of sophistication? Were you born with it? I think being judgmental seems very unsophisticated |

"What's wrong with a skinny margarita?"
At a business dinner??? That just screams "I'm a cute chick worried about my figure" rather than "I'm a sophisticated business woman who knows her wines and spirits. |
OMG

Rum and coke, slow gin fizz, white wine spritzers...those are school girl drinks. If you drink those, drink them in the privacy of your own home where no one can make fun of you. OP, a glass of wine is perfectly fine. Stick with that. If you have a cocktail, keep it simple and not too sweet or potent...gin/vodka & tonic, Cape Cod, Greyhound, scotch & soda, and the like. |
LOL. Do you really think that by ordering a glass of white wine your dinner companions think you're a sophisticated business woman? Sorry, it takes way more than that. |
| Today I have learned that I must drink like a man in order to be taken seriously in a business environment. Damn them for not teaching me this in my masters program. I'm years behind the curve ball, no wonder I didn't get that promotion. |
