Laura Bush - yay or nay?

The dress she wore to her daughter's wedding was dowdy.

Big yay! We love her.

Nay. She's like a stepford wife.

Is this a joke? NAY!

Just like the red dress she wore at the 1st inauguration. She looked like a tomato.

Neutral - she hasn't really done much as First Lady that really stands out. I don't dislike her.

Accidentally, of course.

That was low. Really, surprisingly low.

I agree. But to be expected.

NAY. She always has that plastered on smile/deer in headlights thing going on. And I can't think of one noteworthy thing she's contributed during her 8 years as First Lady. I would assume, however, that she's much brighter than her husband - but then so is my dog.

Maybe the "deer in the headlights" look is what "W" liked since he has the same look; W still hasn't mastered how to correctly say, "Nuclear" (pronounced nu-cleer) not nu-cu-ler.

I again realized why I like her. When she was asked about Michele Obama's comments she could have done the usual political nasty thing and skewered her--as I would have since I think Mrs. Obama's comments on "being proud of America for the first time"--were awful. But...Mrs. Bush took the high road and said that she believed Mrs. Obama probably meant she was more proud or something to the effect of that and went on to say that the media can be tough. Classy lady and I think I can learn from her. I think a lot of people on this blog can learn from her.
