Ours was very proactive with sending us listings, arranging showings and very prompt with writing offers.

I get it good point. But wondering how long to arrange a showing like a few minutes? Hours? A day or two?

You would send a text saying you are interested in this particular home. Your agent would get in touch with seller agent and get back to you within minutes to schedule a time to go look at it. That’s how it worked for us. When we were interested in a home to put an offer down, our agent asked if we wanted to do a pre-offer inspection and write up an offer immediately after inspection. Everything happens very quickly.

This. The RE industry has very flexible hours but it's 24/7. Your agent should always be available and have a back up if they're not. Things move too quickly to sit and wait.

They should be responsive, but we also had a general rhythm. We looked at the new listings on Wednesday, set up showings for Thursday and by Friday were scheduling any pre-inspections or second showings.

A good realtor is always available for their clients. My mom was a successful realtor when I was a child. she never really eat dinner with us because she was either on the phone or showing houses. In addition, she never actually around on weekends. And when she had out of town buyers she would be gone non stop from 8 to 8. I took a corporate job so I could have some boundaries.
