Home sells almost 450k over asking in Potomac

Big house, big lot, big pool. Seems like an ok price to me. Agree that some things need to be updated right away (that builder tile in the entryway and kitchen, for example) but overall someone could make the place really nice.

Approved!

Someone wanted it and paid for it.

Post the pictures of your home. We’ll see if it’s cleaner and better that this home.

The question for me - is this property horribly staged, or did those living there have really bad taste?

NP. I have never understood responses like this. When people post $5 or $10 million homes, are the only people qualified to comment those who also live in $5 or $10 million homes? When there's an article about something the president did, are the only people qualified to comment those who have previously been president? It is actually a sign that someone cannot handle criticism, so instead of dealing with the criticism, they attack the person who posted it.

It is just the builder tile by entrance. I see lots of beautiful wood floors elsewhere.

My last home had that builder tile in lobby. I went to Lowe’s and bought some beautiful luxury vinyl tiles that were stick on as a “temporary” solution coveted them. It ended u looking great. Kept then for 8 years and sold house. It was 100 percent cosmetic.

BTW flat two two acres hard to find as Potomac can be hilly

What? The kitchen and bathrooms are really outdated, especially for that price.

Apparently not!

Over two acres. Makes the finishes a lot less important.

With that location and lot, there's a chance that this could be a teardown.

How is this a high end house?

Average home value in the US: 345k
Average home value in Maryland: 414k
Average home value in Potomac: 1.45M
And this house is 2.3M.

Lots of spoiled brats on this thread.

Something else has to be going on with this house. Subdividable lot?

Both Redfin and Zillow has estimates for this home in 1.8m midpoint range. No way this house appraised.

If you are going to come here and trash people’s houses, say that they have bad taste, I would assume that you have good taste, and should have the courage show your house to back it up.

Makes sense. The house itself is terrible. But the lot and land and location (if you want Potomac) are really great.
