Just my experience but men typically don't like to appear weak or ill infront of the women they are trying to pick up

I like this but, do NOT use that phrase if you are at all interested in encouraging him toward a relationship with you.
He will read it as being friend-zoned.

Instead, tell him “no no—I won’t accept payment. I enjoy being around you and I’m happy to help.”
