Toddler wearing diaper in Costco …

Things happen….

That said, I always kept clothing changes IN the car for times like this. Or at worst would’ve immediately found something in the clothing section to put on my kid. Or left and come back later. Seems strange/odd to leave the kid like that for the whole shopping trip.

Definitely doesn’t mean that parent is a bad parent in any way- just disorganized or frazzled as we all tend to get at times. The kid was safe and presumably perfectly fine (and shopping carts should always be assumed to be germy and gross regardless).

Sorry, but this is gross and unacceptable. He’s touching the inside of his diaper and then the cart. You would think it’s OK if adult we’re doing this, of course not.

I think it's disgusting. But it's not that shocking to me. I wouldn't come home and write about it here. I could write a small novel about all the trifling disgusting things I've seen in public places.

But he wasn't an adult. He was a toddler. I'm not saying it's not gross, but kids are gross.

Exactly. It’s not OK either way.

Toddler or adult you have to have pants and clothes on. You can’t just go into a store in your diaper that is not OK.

And before somebody says anything I have been there and done that. Believe me, I have blowouts, stains, spilled water, the whole 9 yards. You have extra clothes in your car or you wrap them up in a blanket or any other fabric so that they’re covered. Just a diaper is unacceptable.

I was in Costco when I saw a woman walking briskly towards the bathrooms. She had a large wet sh!t-stain on the back of her shorts, it was running down her legs and she was leaving drops behind on the floor as she walked.

I was torn between feeling absolutely disgusted, and absolute sympathy as I can't imagine how awful she must have felt, nor what kind of condition/illness she had to lose control

I once had to stop at the gaithersburg costco on the way home to va after a lunch with grandma and mom. I could have been that lady, but thank goodness I made it. Poor lady. It's disgusting, but I have total sympathy.

OK but 99% of parents have had a baby in a cart without shoes on. I had one kid that threw any shoe off immediately. Didn't like socks either. quelle horreur! The grandmas who openly stared at my kid and talked about me behind my back and to my face were out of control.

I promise you there are grosser things that are coming into contact with Costco carts, like people’s snot.

Then you buy an outfit at the clothing section or you go home!!!!

According to whose rules?

You put your dog inside the shopping cart and we’re all supposed to be okay with that.

You dont see a difference between a child kicking a shoe off and traversing a store that sells food in only a diaper? Quelle horreur indeed, that's disgusting.

I keep hand sanitizer in my purse, in my car, use it when needed (after pumping gas or using an ATM for example). Yes, my name is Larla and I am a germaphobe
