Millennials are 1981 or later. In April of 1994 you were either 12, turning 13, or very recently turned 13. How were you a freshman in high school at 12, having started high school in 1993? Unless you skipped grades? In which case, that would not be very common and most of the year of oldest millennials would have been in middle school. Being 1980 myself, I was in 8th grade when he died.
