How do Offers work?

One time our daughter received a decline from Arlington and then four weeks later received an invite to come for an additional tryout in mid June.

This happened to us too. Then after the additional tryout, got an offer for a middle team.

Did you already commit to another team? If so, did you only lose the deposit?

I think it is pretty standard that if you accept the offer the club will ask for a deposit. It states your child spot is not secured till a deposit has been made.

And if you haven’t made the deposit, they can rescind that offer.

Is it best to wait as long as possible before paying any money? What if tryouts was good but then my DC doesn't enjoy the first few practices?

Practices for next season don't start until August. I don't imagine that a competitive team would hold your spot for that long. If you are on the last/bottom team, then that's probably possible.

If you don’t pay the deposit, you’re no longer on the team as they consider that not accepting the offer. Kid will not be added to the apps so you won’t know when the practices are, etc..

If the club is using player matrices, you will not be able to complete registration without paying the deposit.

LMAO how long do you expect to be able to drag this out?

Clubs will give you 48hrs and then they will move to the next player. If you do not pay the deposit, you will not be added to the clubs database. So unless the coach adds you to their chat you will not know when practices are.
