I think the county wants them to do this. They're hoping to generate positive social media/media because of the louder volume of complaints during and since Covid school closures.

It’s a part of the broader marketing efforts among public schools in general. Regarding branding, a positive image, etc. Teachers and administrators are now expected to post photos of school related academic and athletic activities with cute text blurbs. It’s actually more unnecessary work for the already overburdened teachers. They’d rather not do this.

I don't think parents care much either (if they want anything it's a photo or two in a weekly ES newsletter). It's just the central pushing the work of advertising the school down to schools.
