Bikini bottom that covers my butt

I have an ample rear end and I’m in my 40s. I don’t think it’s at all flattering on my body, nor do I feel comfortable or confident, in a suit that cuts through the middle of my bottom. Plus they ride up when I walk, or if they’re snug enough to not ride up, they squeeze in, giving me a double butt. It’s not good.

I wear a medium/size 10 and am generally very comfortable and confident in my body, but I have never really liked to show it off.

Be proud of what you have and flaunt it if you got it. Age is just a number!

Why not?

Because men like rear ends.

I've been looking for the same, OP - and not going to bother justifying why. It's what I want, and that's why.

Athleta has some full coverage bikini bottoms. I have a couple I wear paddling. I wouldn't say they are esp attractive.

Three other brands I am considering are:

Lime Ricki: https://www.limericki.com/ (but maybe a little too toddler-ish?)

Geode: https://geodeswimwear.com/ (cute!)

and, my personal favorite - and also the most $$ - Minnow Bathers: https://www.minnowbathers.com/

I got all these recs on reddit when I searched for modest bikini recommendations

Must everything be done for male attention?

Well I'm a size 2 and am looking for this too. I've had luck looking through amazon reviews and searching "cheeky". If it's cheeky I don't want it. Even though I'm thin, my butt must be big? A cheeky bathing suit is close to a thong on me and it cuts my cheeks in half very uncomfortably. I also don't think it's appropriate for taking the kids to the pool or beach.

Looking around at the pool, most people should not be wearing cheeky suits either. I'm not into body shaming, but I also don't want to see cellulite butts everywhere when they just could have chosen a wider suit bottom.

I'm the same, 5'7 and 125 lbs, all my weight is in my butt. I can't find anything that covers the butt completely and can't go up in size because the waist would be too large. The only thing that would work are swim shorts or skirts.

As this thread shows, it's not that easy to find a wider suit bottom! For all you know, all those people would prefer one and it's just not that widely - har har - available. Even the suits that claim to cover butts, like Summersalt, often don't really cover a butt.

Plus, you know what? Bodies have cellulite, and who effin cares.

I have a big a** too and cheeky suits just show too much of it. Maybe okay on a beach vacation, but, I'm not wearing it at our local swim club. Try Lands End, Athleta, Title 9. Boy short style don't look great on me, but, it is another style to look for if you find them flattering. I've also found full coverage bottoms at Dicks and Nordstroms.

Believe it or not, most women (especially married age 35+ women!) don’t want to attract male attention from anyone other than their partner.

I feel the same about my butt and I’ve given up and started wearing board shorts and a bikini top. Flattering and comfortable and not showing off anything that makes me self conscious.

Can you recommend board shorts you like?

I got these last year and really liked them: https://coppersuit.com/products/copper-control-womens-5-woven-boardshort-bottom

No built in bikini bottom which is a little annoying but they fit me well (not tight around the hips) and are very quick drying.

Then they can wear thongs.
