How much do spend on annual vacations?

5 to 20K but depends on location and length of time. Family of four.

Remember, every year can be different. As you get more adventurous, you can actually find less expensive experiences.

We spend about 50k. 25k for 2 week international trip in summer. One week in winter and spring break (maybe international but close like Costa Rica) for the remainder. It sounds like a lot, but our kids are teenagers who have maybe two years left with us. This is the only downtime we get and put a high priority to go on adventures with them. On the other hand, our house still has all the same fixtures and Appliances from 1986 and we have done nothing to it. I get my clothes from TJ Maxx. I figure when they graduate from high school, we can then use that money to give our house the much much needed upgrades and fixes!

Probably $40k between 2 vacations, a couple adult weekend trips, a couple family weekend trips, travel sports, 2 trips to visit my family, plus the cost of flying my in-laws to visit us.

~6k for a week long trip for a family of four, but we don’t do a ton of excursions and eat out once a day typically. We do try to book nicer airbnbs with views, good location, amenities.

We’re spending way more than that on 12 days in Europe for our family of 3 this summer. On average we probably spend 30k on travel every year. This year will be over average.

Putting aside short trips to see and stay with family, where the only costs are flights, we will spend $45k this year. That is for two weeklong beach/island trips, one weeklong trip to Europe, and one long weekend trip to a place TBD.

The costs for the flights to Europe are not included in this amount because we used points to book the flights.

15-20k. Family of 3. 2 to 3 big international trips a year. One of these with my parents on a cruise which tens to be cheaper because dad can only do cruises with his limited mobility.

I look for flight deals since that is a big cost and we usually do arbnb with kitchen so don’t eat out everyday.

I assume that all in with flights, lodging, Ubers or car rental, meals, activities (including for example theme park tickets or snorkeling), it works out to about $1200 per day. So like $9.000 for a week. This is for a nicer domestic vacay too.

We are a family of 4, mid level travelers. We don't' stay at fancy resorts, typically get an airbnb and try to find good deals, but also don't skimp on activities.

We typically spend $6-7K for a week skiing out west over spring break. This doesn't include ski pass as we use that locally as well.

Summer trip usually 10-14 days. $10-13K- Costa Rica, Maui, Canada NPs.

A bunch but we do 3+ trips a year. 2 kids. Summer is cheaper $5k for a week rental and drive and food. When we went to Cape Cod it was more as i like ocean front places.
Spring break is somewhere warm for a week or 5 days. I try to get flights with points and hotel is another $3-5k depending where we go. February ski week as well but we have annual ski passes so do you count those too?
We are about to start doing travel over Christmas break as my youngest is 5 and can handle a longer flight.
So $20k min but its not that fancy, just many trips and i like staying at places close to the main activity: so ski-in-ski-out, beach block etc.

About 15k. Kids are in school, so we can only travel during peak periods. We do one international trip that's up to 2 weeks, one domestic trip for spring break, and some long weekends at the DE shore. We usually stay in airbnbs or Hampton Inn type of place.

Where are you going?
If you go to Europe, food cost alot. If you go to some Asian countries, the cost of food is not alot compared to Europe. If you eat the street food is less than the restaurant food.
If you rent a vrbo and cook, that's different too.

I don't know how you guys do eating but we tend to pack a sandwich on day trips since we usually do hikings/walking and stuff like that. Our big meals are dinner and usually no desserts. Our breakfast is simple. We also pack protein bars.

WE went to CR for spring break. Flights alone were almost 5K. Plus lodging and activities. I imagine we spent around 8K.

We are doing Yellowstone for two weeks this summer. Flights and rental car are 5K, lodging is 6500 (i kind of hate myself that i just added that up). That isn't even including activities and what not. But I guess that trip is probably going to be 15K or so. I don't think we are doing that fancy of things in yellowstone, two weeks of stuff just adds up (and lodging in park is not the cheapest)
