Why is Biden not addressing Israel or the university protests?

Not sure what else you want him to say.

He's not likely going to make any sort of a statement about protests because it will be used against him politically.

This is going to lose him the election.

No, spoiled cowardly brats in Ivy League colleges don't play well with ordinary working class people, many of whom have children in the military. People like you and those demonstrating will never lift a finger in armed combat just like your "cadet bone spur" who evaded Viet Nam.

I am not a Jew but Israel was attacked and has every right to retaliate. Human should have given more thought to their barbaric attack.

Um.... not to take this off topic, but the cognitive mess currently in the WH evaded the draft......multiple times.

Biden received five student draft deferments and a medical exemption.

He didn't plead a bone spur and then have a photo of him playing tennis.

From the link that you obviously didn't read....

"Biden released his Selective Service records to the Associated Press in 2008. At the time, a spokesperson said he was "disqualified from service because of asthma as a teenager," per The News Journal.

Biden played football and worked as a lifeguard in high school — details he included in his memoir, "Promises to Keep," per a report from the Associated Press."

Yes he has said all the protesters are Hamas and antisemitic. His donors are so upset about the protesters Biden has approved Bibi’s invasion of Rafah. Look for about 25,000 more civilians to be killed soon. That will keep it under Biden’s another 30,000 is not acceptable.

Now you know the Israelis. They will most likely go over that number just to give the US the finger.

No. Why do you think he should? US foreign policy is not dictated by entitled college kids living on Daddy's $$$$ and who have never, and will never, serve their county in the military or in any other way. The frightening aspect is that many of these dilatantes will be in positions of authority and national importance some day.

The Viet Nam demonstrations did influence national politics and the upshot was that we got Nixon. I must admit that Nixon was a kindergartener compared to Trump but that's another story.

You're right!

It's dictated by Netanyahu!

Why?

It is so stupid to think the President needs to comment on everything going on in the country. But I'll give him his talking point: "As Americans, we respect the right to freedom of speech and freedom of assembly. But these are not absolute rights and reasonable and legal limits must be respected."

There you go. Give me that speechwriter job now.

He has made his statement in support of Israel and against the protesters. Fox News was all over it.

If he speaks in support of the toddlers protesting, the majority of the American public will be outraged.
If he speaks against the protests happening, the left will be outraged.
If he straddles the fence, everyone will know he is straddling the fence.

He can't risk the polls sinking. That is why in his presser this morning, he left without answering any questions. God forbid he is allowed to answer a question about the protests without a teleprompter or a notecard telling his what to say. That would be a disaster.

lol you are just so fixated on the left. When will you wake up?

NP. The left is the problem here. An enormous problem. Not sure how you could possibly argue otherwise.

He can’t say anything because the protesters represent all of the demographics he needs to vote for him, but none of the institutions he needs to donate to him. It would be a good case study of the role of money in shaping politics right now and the tension between money and actual votes, except it’s sad.

Exactly. Us republicans are just sitting here enjoying the show.

I am however, not looking forward to what the terrorist do this summer, it is going to be bonkers. Glad I am going to be gone most of June.

Biden has been crystal clear through his deeds. What are you having a hard time understanding?

It’s fun to see him losing the election over an issue he created

Biden is has lost the election. It was already too late in January. My theory is that he either has some really stupid staffers or he is being blackmailed by a foreign government.

Biden is done. I hate Trump but I am sitting this election out, I cannot vote for Biden. There are many more like me in the suburbs.

Pregnant women would like a word. Seriously, Gaza is NOT the issue you think it is.

I’m a Democrat but align ideologically with the Republicans and centrist/more conservative Democrats on this issue. I will vote for Biden but I’m going to vote differently in some of the other elections. I 100% support Israel. They’re the only democracy in the Middle East and they were barbarically attacked. I think there is going to be a lot of lane switching and politics shifting happening across the board. I think that’s good. People need to vote on issues rather than pick a party. Now if only the moderate Republicans and moderate non-progressive Democrats could get together and disempower both the pro Hamas mob and the right wing extremists that would be great. Extremism is bad for the country, from either direction.
