Mom with FT job, babysitting on the side?

I'm a teacher and I do this on weekends. I also tutor. It helps pay for things that have increased in price like food. My DS is in his first year of college so the extra money helps.

Nice. Are you in the DMV? How much extra do you make?

You could also consider doing Rover if you like dogs.

How’s babysitting on the weekend any more work than parenting your own kids?

Baltimore area. I charge $55/hr for tutoring and I usually tutor 2-4 times a week (with 1-2 of those sessions on weekends). If I babysit on Friday/Saturday night I charge $20-25/hr depending on how many kids. It’s easy money.

I do this. I get 20-25 like the PP. I usually come over around bedtime (or when there's a younger kid asleep and the older one is in pjs), play for a little while, do the bedtime routine, and then hang out and read for a few hours until parents get home. I am selective about families and saying yes, I only work in my neighborhood, and I could easily make $500 a month if I pushed harder. For me it's probably around $200.
