I need to buy a drip coffee maker

Bunn is best - clean it monthly with vinegar.

Look for one certified by the Specialty Coffee Association: https://sca.coffee/certified-home-brewer

I use a Bonavita and am happy with it. Technivorm is also well-regarded but has a taller footprint. The SCA has certified models from a few other brands, as well.

Bunn VP17.

I love the technivorm moccamaster. Consisently good coffee, every time. I think they basically last forever.

Another vote for a basic cuisinart coffee maker.

Why is no one mentioning Mr. Coffee? That's as basic as you can go.

My Zojirushi carafe broke (again) while washing it at 6 PM. Went to Amazon and ordered a Mr. Coffee and it arrived by 7 AM the following morning, just in time for breakfast. Impressive.

It's fine and does a straightforward job.

Also have a Cuisinart. That thing will outlive us all, and the coffee is fine.

There are tons if working coffee makers at thrift stores.

My vote is for the $50 Cuisinart at Costco.

Our first Mr. Coffee lasted 2p years. We only replaced it because the carafe broke. On our second now.
