Not really. We were underwhelmed but had fun at our resort at the ocean and pool. To us, it lacked a cultural vibe like most other Caribbean islands we have been to. On the other hand its very wealthy and safe. |
Smoke cigars |
Thanks to all who made suggestions (other than the cigars). I think I have some good leads now to start planning activities.
Really appreciate it. (p.s. cannot stand the stench of cigars. never smoked anything in my life and never intend to.) |
That Red Sail Charters also does a dinner boat trip to Rum Point. Its a sunset boat ride over then you eat dinner at their restaurant. They bring you back around 9pm. |
Consider a resort course for an intro to scuba diving. Cayman is the perfect place to experience diving. If you aren’t familiar, a resort course is basically scuba light. You learn the basics of scuba in about 2 hours and then dive from the shore to a depth of about 30-40 feet. Great for families with teens.
Park at smith point one day and snorkel from there. Jet ski at Run Point instead of on SMB. You can basically make a day out of an excursion to Rum Point. It’s a nice drive, lunch at a run Point, jet skis. |
We loved Gelato & Co. for dessert. |
I forgot to mention that Calyspo Grill is my fave! |
The taco restaurant at Kimpton (Cocolabanna or something like that) is great and right on the beach, same for the fancier restaurant at Palm Heights (Tillies). There are some good restaurants Camana Bay, including another taco place (Loca), as well as gelato/ice cream options and a movie theater (maybe a movie after dinner?). |
Hey guys!
Here are the recs from the last few days. |
Where at Camana Bay? |
