I think they lost all of their matches at the GA cup. If they don't get the top talent, from the area, then they won't do well.

You do know on the internet thingy you can actually see the Generation Adidas results which clearly shows your statement to be a deliberate lie to fuel a false narrative for your biased agenda.

Let me guess, your DS is the "top talent" they disregarded 🙄

If the poster was only looking at U17 it's absolutely true. U17s were 0-6. (3 in penalties). I used the internet thingy.

U15 had 3 wins and 3 losses.

U14s lost to SYC and Delco here at home, but who knows what the composition of the team was. They might have taken their top U14s to GA cup.

Then the poster should have said the U17's lost all their games (with asterisk for penalty shootouts)

Top academy teams from here and internationally lost multiple games at GA cup

The U14's obviously didn't have close to a normal weekend.
They lost to teams they beat easily in the Fall.

Oh, so you don't think this was an overstatement, and ironic?

which clearly shows your statement to be a deliberate lie to fuel a false narrative for your biased agenda.

Where's the overstatement?

Yikes. How about some self awareness. Which one of you has a biased view? The one that correctly said they didn't win or the one that says 0-6 is understandable and wants an asterisk, and accuses the other one of a false narrative and an agenda.

"I think they lost all their matches at the GA cup"

This is a 100% lie and inaccurate statement.

Where's the gray area?

The grey area is in how the poster was defining "they." Maybe the poster only looked at U17 scores because they looked at it as the more important age group, or for whatever reason. My point is you're reaction is over the top in its sensitivity. I wonder why you perceive this anti-DCU agenda that causes random internet posters to allegedly spout lies to bring down the club. Doesn't that sound a little ridiculous? Who cares if someone's negative post about a professional academy was partially inaccurate?

Nope. Don't care at all about their results or what people say about DC United Academy. Just had some time while I'm waiting for a contractor. I thought it would be good to point out your silliness and paranoia. I posted the actual results thinking that would be the thing to correct any perceived errors. Do you have a kid in the academy or do you just SUPER care when someone points out when DCU underperforms expectations?

I don't think it counts as paranoia when the words are on the screen and it's an actual lie.
Would the lie being about Achilles or Bethesda be less a lie and more acceptable?

Does the u14 really have all the top players in the DMV? U14 lost to 2 non-academy teams that they did NOT easily beat in the fall, at least not SYC. The fall results for DCU vs SYC was 2-1. Rumors are many on DCU U14 have tight networks and selection was most based on who knows who and very political.

NP here. I agree with these statements. I do think the players are talented on that DCU team but your last sentence is spot on. There are many just as and even more talented same age players on other teams.

After tying Philly Union and beating NY Red Bulls recently, a partial U14's squad lost this weekend to a team they beat 8:1 in the Fall

Only people dunce about soccer would think there's reason for news headlines on the demise of the Academy

How does an academy team allow a team they beat previously 8-1, to turn around and let that team beat them 5-2? This is a team sport of 11 players...2-3 players that are out can't be the ones carrying the team week after week. Just saying.

Maybe you should get your facts straight about how many of the main starters didn't play firstly.

Secondly, how many games has that team played since August in league, tournament and friendly scrimmages. How many have they lost with the full squad or just a few missing.

Your argument is ludicrous when you know the record.
That said, you obviously think the scoreboard on one weekend tells an entire story, which proves you're soccer ignorant and dunce.

Hahaha, every MLS Club Academy in the USA has a bunch of parents running around their area claiming their kids are better than the kids at the academy.
Why should DCU be any different.

Then you go down to ECNL and a bunch of parents are complaining their kid is better than kids on those teams

Then you go to NCSL and a bunch of parents are saying their kids are better 🙄

Maybe DCU should start having parents be scouts and open the roster to 200 per age group
