Are AirPods worth it?

I refuse to pay the outrageous apple pricing lol. But I did try out airpods and jabra's SxS and the jabras were at least half the price and sounded just as good.

I like the wireless, but I am super anal about where I keep them because I'm terrified of losing them.

I had cheap knockoffs and then bought airpods and the airpods are totally worth the extra money bc of how well they integrate with your iphone.

For walks I like my Shokz Open Run pro headphones—they’re bone conducting so you can still hear traffic etc.

I loved them when I first got them, but they stopped working consistently after about three months. I've never dropped them or gotten them wet, but I find that I have to do a lot of troubleshooting to get them to work half the time. The battery life and sound quality on my end is still good. My friends say I sound weird when I use them. It could just be a bad batch, but I'll probably go with something cheaper next time.

Airpods are nice, but there are plenty of comparable headphones that have a better design that aren't prone to falling out of your ears.

FWIW, OP reporting back that I got the cheapest model on sale and I like them!

As long as they hold up, was worth it to me not to waste time reading reviews of other brands or connecting. And I’ve been enjoying the six months of Apple Music for free….

Though I agree they look silly…
