With this HHI Santa Cruz will be more doable than Marin. If you are looking to buy in Marin check out San Rafael or San Anselmo. Alamo or Berkeley maybe also a possibility. All these areas will have tough commutes to SF or South Bay (hence the affordability) but are great if you have a lot of remote flexibility.
Most of the people we know at that HHI are not able to buy a single family home in a good school district in the Bay Area unless they’ve already gotten on the property ladder or have significant savings / family help. |
